Video Invitation from LES (USA & Canada) President

LES Annual Meeting 2013
Message from LES (USA & Canada) President Tanya Moore

Dear Colleague:

I hope you can join me for the LES Annual Meeting from September 22-25 in Philadelphia. Our theme, and programmatic focus, this year is on how "IP Matters in Every Deal."

As I have looked around the corporate landscape from my "IP deal guy" perch, I have observed that many business people, most of whom would never think to describe themselves as IP or licensing professionals, nonetheless spend a significant percentage of their time doing just that.

In today's environment, the simplest of deals between companies, whether for products or services, will involve the licensing of technologies, cross-licensing, outright sale of patents, IP valuation, etc., etc., the list goes on. It is in this spirit that we chose the theme for this year's meeting.

The LES Annual Meeting is an occasion for learning new skills, keeping up with industry trends, and good old-fashioned socializing with your peers. Professionals from all sides of the table will be in attendance in order to encourage the cross-pollination of perspectives and experiences to the benefit of us all.

We hope to see you in September.

Warm regards,
Tanya
